Enagh Farrell lives in Dublin, Ireland with her partner, two children, cat, many house plants and a lot of pencils. She graduated from the National College of Art and Design with a BA in Fine Print in 2003. Previous exhibitions include The Cross Gallery, The Stone Gallery, Monster Truck, Tinahely Court House, The Signal Gallery and The Carlow Arts Festival. In 2010 she graduated with a Masters in Visual Art Practices from IADT. It was after this period that she began to focus more on drawing, illustration and the language of visual narrative. She works mostly in pencil, pen, watercolour and acrylic but has a preference/ love for pencil. Her work is influenced by the natural world; trees, stars and plants and the magic that can be found in nature. Her work is also inspired by fairy tales, both dark and magical. She usually works in series format but one illustration can be purchased by itself and will tell its own story.
Owing to a print background, Enagh loves good quality prints and all of her prints come are Giclée and printed by a third party, either Inspirational Arts or Copperhouse. Each print is a combination of pigment based archival inks and acid free paper. This means that due to the ink and paper that is used it will remain archival and will not fade over time. She uses Hahnemühle paper, either Photo Rag or German Etching Paper. The printed side of this paper has been specially coated for excellent image sharpness and optimum colour graduation. Prints that are in the shop can be shipped the next day. If there is an image on the website that you are interested in and it is not in the shop, please contact Enagh by email and allow up to days for it to arrive.
