Through an interdisciplinary practice of drawing, sometimes writing and illustration, my practice is immersed in the embodiment and interconnectivity with the Earth. How the female body or divine feminine, is connected to and is the Earth. That sense of what it is to be and embodied within the landscape and connected to other species. I am curious about the stories and myths that we tell about our planet and the wider cosmos. How we can weave narratives about ecology, mythology, animism, and connection together so that we can create new stories in this time of great change.
I am passionate and continuously inspired by plants, trees, animals, the migration of birds across our planet, insects, the water bodies we live beside, the seasons, moon phases, herbalism and stories about place. How does this influence us in a moment? I am curious about how each of these these elements knit together into the biosphere as a whole.
I have a degree in Fine Art Print from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin. A Masters in Visual Art Practice from IADT. Previous exhibitions include The Royal College of Physicians: Climate Change and Health (2023).
Previous group and solo shows include The Cross Gallery, The Stone Gallery, Monster Truck, Tinahely Court House, NAG, The Signal Gallery and The Carlow Arts Festival (2006 to 2009).
My archival prints are printed in Dublin 8 by either Copper House or Inspirational Arts. My greeting cards are always printed on recycled stock in Ireland by Clear Print in Dublin.
As my work is inspired by environmental ideas, if you are ordering from me online, please note I also keep my packaging minimal as a result. I do not order fancy packaging as I believe it's unnecessary. My packaging is plastic free and sourced from environmentally responsible companies. Sometimes I use packaging which has some plastic but this is something that I am reusing which would have been posted to me. My packaging is light and eco friendly. I occasionally post in An Post bags as it helps to keep the cost down for customers.
Owing to a print background, I love good quality prints and all of my prints are archivally produced as Giclée and printed by a third party. Each print is a combination of pigment-based archival inks on acid free paper. This means that due to the ink and paper that is used it will remain archival and will not fade over time. I use Hahnemühle papers of Bamboo, PhotoRag or German Etching Paper. The printed side of this paper has been specially coated for excellent image sharpness and optimum colour graduation.
Please email for prices on commissions. While I accept commissions, I only take on requests that are within the area of my research and themes exhibited within my work.
Themes include biodiversity, ecology, botanical illustration, plants, trees, the magic within nature, plant magic, astrology, nature spirits, meditation, stars and space, animal spirits…. Anything along that vein I am happy to work with.
I charge different prices depending on size, the time that will be invested or if you want a painting of a drawing.
An A4 image might take a day to draw but may also require a day to research, sketch and another half a day on admin (emailing with sketches, deciding on a final sketch etc)
