Flowers grow from her body. The cloudy mist from the moutain rolls overhead. A raven, unseen, calls from nearby. The cloud is settled, dark and casts shadows on her vision. She feels a wind on her forearm. The daisies that sprang from her body begin to gently . Eventually the cloud will dissipate.

In this particular drawing I was interested in the idea of transformation. Flowers bloom which will eventually wither, go to seed, and in time, produce new plants. A dark cloud sits over the head of the figure but will pass soon, perhaps precipitate, as clouds do. Crows caw near-by waiting for something to happen, always moving. The figure walks through an empty space, momentarily clouded over.
“You see, the ultimate idea of rebirth is not purely the idea of physical birth and death. Physical birth and death are very crude examples of it. Actually, rebirth takes place every moment, every instant. Every instant is death; every instant is birth. It’s a changing process: there’s nothing you can grasp onto; everything is changing. But there is some continuity, of course—the change is the continuity.” Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche
